Review of The Loved One (1965) by Private U — 04 Aug 2008
This is an adaptation of a splendid Evelyn Waugh novel so I was a bit prejudiced against it. However it did a good job, kept most of the important parts of the novel and the bits that were added or changed still worked with feeling of Waugh's writing.
It is from the sixties so it is a bit scatterbrained and experimental, which ends up alternately being a flaw and a benefit.
