Review of The Love Guru (2008) by Zane T — 05 Jul 2010

Ok, I admit it. I laughed at some of the scenes in this movie which was potty humor and sex-related. I said some. Overall, it was a tired 90 minutes as Mike Myers created a character which is somewhat funny.

I like that he's a self-centered guru, but the rest of the cast is so-so. I could have done without Justin Timberlake's French pimp wannabe porn star and Romany Malco can be funny, but he is stuck playing second banana in a movie where his character should be more.

Jessica Alba does her thing. Ben Kingsley must have needed the money or owed someone a favor. The best laugh comes from Verne Troyer in the outtakes who doesn't miss an opportunity to make a joke.
