Review of The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) by Ilja S — 16 Jan 2016

The darker tone takes away the lighthearted fun that the first movie had, the direction itself, I think, is poor (by Spielberg's standards) and all the characters that viewers fell in love with in the first film, are replaced by the annoying characters of Juliane Moore and company.

Also all the characters seem to always fall into the 'heavy breathing action face' most the time and look towards the camera. But the worst part about this movie, is the fact that I don't care about any of these characters, I sat there for 2 hours saying "they derseved it" when a character died because no one made me care for the characters like they did in the first one because they were all so BORING or ANNOYING (excluding Goldblum who is the only interesting character.

) There's no wonder most of the original cast jumped ship with this one! There are a couple of positives though, Jeff Goldblum is still good and you can get some enjoyment watching it in the "it's so bad it's good" kind of way!
