Review of The Lost Weekend (1945) by Rob L — 02 Aug 2007
Another Billy Wilder classic about Don Birnam, writer and alcoholic. Disturbingly accurate about the ravaging effects of alcoholism, Ray Milland gives one of the best performances by any actor ever. Many complain about the ending but any darker and this film would've been too hard to handle.
Powerful drama at its finest.
