Review of The Lost Weekend (1945) by Pedro R — 18 May 2010
When i´ve watched this movie I spent no more, no less then 3 days without drinking alchool(something very hard for a person like me).
Billy Wilder once again show us his skill as a prolific filmaker, Ray Milland gives us his best performance and the photography in this movie is just magnificent(special in the scene when Milland wants to go to a pawnshop to sell is typewriter).
Every movie that talk´s about an addiction(drugs, alchool etc.) certainly has an influence from this great classic of the golden age of hollywood, the Delirium Tremens scene is just fuckin scary!
