Vampires for the 80s; nothing more, nothing else. There's a gothic aura surrounding Santa Carla. Drop some cult characters and imagery, pop-culture tendencies, lighthearted humor unfamiliar even for Schumacher, and you've got yourself a unique vampire flick. The last 20 minutes were amazing.
