Review of The Lords of Salem (2013) by Walter B — 02 May 2013
If you're expecting something akin to any of Rob Zombie's previous films. You might be a little disappointed. This is a beast of a different nature. Zombie pays homage to not only the occult films of the 1970s he throws in a little bit Kubrick-esque cinematography in here.
Things gets a bit obscure and Zombie can't seem to decide what kind of filmmaking style he wants to stick to, The performances are average at best but the true standout goes to Meg Foster as the demented and disturbing Margaret Morgan.
Not a classic but definitely worth a look.
