Review of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) by Sumit S — 09 Mar 2013
The Two Towers is a big departure from the faithful adaptation the saga had in the previous part. The story arc divides into three parts but still turned out to be extremely well narrated. The story adds new characters without confusing the viewers, the performances are more evolved, the tone is darker, the direction is better, the visuals get a major upgrade, the battles get bigger & Gollum's performance wins hearts.
Arguably better than its predecessor in some aspects, The Two Towers is a work of art filled with some great cinematic moments. The climactic Battle of Helm's Deep will always be remembered. Overall, Without a definite beginning or end, The Two Towers is a stunning masterpiece & sets a really high bar for the final part of the legendary saga.
