Review of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) by Kristen S — 07 Oct 2013
This movie could have been horrible. The amount of story lines and character changes might have spelled disaster for any other movie. But here, it worked, and it worked well. PJ weaved the story together so well, jumping from perspectives without taking away from the flow of the film.
My only complaint is and will always be that they changed Faramir's character to fit their plot. He was a much stronger character in the books, and if Tolkien wrote himself into any character it was Faramir. He was still strong, but he could have been more. But David Wenham played him so well, I couldn't help liking him despite the change.
