Review of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) by Callan D — 23 Jun 2018
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers is another phenomenal movie in the LOTR trilogy that gives audiences an amazing sequel. When comparing it to its predecessor, only barely is its predecessor better.
The first film is the coming together of all the characters and how the story became to be, but it's still hard to say because The Two Towers still offers great and emotional storytelling along with incredible performances from it's whole cast.
I would say just barely because it's really hard to say that the first is better by any more than an extremely tiny amount. The visual effects are again outstanding and Peter Jackson does another great job with directing and co-writing the screenplay with three other people.
He does the film so well just like the first one and he's able to get everything that's needed to make the film as food as it is and satisfy audiences again. We get to see more epic fight scenes that will keep you wondering if the good guys will win or loose which is definitely something that adds to the greatness of the film.
Overall, it's definitely another movie that audiences can enjoy that will keep them eager for the final chapter!
