Review of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) by Ramsey E — 20 Dec 2017
A beautiful film overall that balances its own subplots with the greater story it connects to. Revolutionary use of motion capture create a convincingly ugly character who will never be forgotten. Each main character in this fantastic ensemble is given plenty to work with and even side characters are given satisfying arcs.
This film delivers the same excellence as its predecessor while raising the stakes and the visual spectacle without losing focus on its core story points.
