Review of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) by Avi S — 08 Aug 2013

A landmark of cinema, this epic finale to an epic trilogy could not have been better made. The time and effort shown in this film is incredible. It is easy to understand why it took the filmmakers such a long time to make it.

This movie required enormous special effects work, sound and editing. The way they portray the Orcs versus the men at the Battle of the Black Gate is pure thrill. The ending, of course is one of the best.

The music is perfect to portray the victories, the losses, and the battles. This movie has shown the true effort of what it takes to make a landmark film. Five stars all around.
