I watched this before I went out and grabbed the books, and loved it. Went to cinema 3 times to watch this with different people and enjoyed it everytime and saw bits I had missed before. Only criticism I have is the messing around with some of the characters and plots, having Arwen find the hobbits and aragon in wild annoyed me as although she is the love interest of Aragon why thrusta love story down our throats.
Apart from that loved this film to bits and have happily watched it many times on DVD on a cold winters night.
