Review of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) by Andrew G — 16 Dec 2015
This movie, although it had its rough parts, matched a good portion of the official storyline in the book. A few of the similarities would be for example the Ring Wraiths and that they were accurately described as in the book, and the Hobbits in the Shire were depicted the same as in the book.
Although it had its similarities, the movie also added a few scenes that never happened in the book along with skipping large amounts of time that passed in the book, both of which are understandable as the producers were only trying to increase entertainment values.
Overall, this was a great movie, but I would only rate four stars due to the fact that it changed too many key factors from the book.
