The first installment of this epic trilogy does not disappoint! This is an epic film that only deters from the book when necessary for pacing reasons. This film is probably my favorite book to movie adaptation I've seen! It removes a couple great scenes from the book, but the movie still holds itself very well, and those scenes would have slowed it down a little.
This film will hold up for a long time! Definitely a masterpiece!
