Review of The Lorax (2012) by Ey95 — 10 Aug 2021
This film falls flat in its attempts to create good comedy, the story is poorly laid out and done in a uninspired, overly long way. The characters are boring, the animation is bland and the film's enviromentalist message isn't handled well at all.
The film fails to make much of a point at all. What saves this film from being a complete disaster is the Lorax himself, played by Danny DeVito. He does a good job at portraying this character, which I can't say for any of the others.
The film also does tell a decent story, even if it is executed in a way that slows the pacing down and pads out the runtime with unnecessary comic relief and sideplots. This film is painfully mediocre.
