Review of The Lookout (2007) by Gary G — 06 Sep 2008
A dark independent film about a kid who's suffered a brain injury and has major memory issues as a result. He has to keep a little notebook to remind himself of everything he has to do and works as a janitor in a bank but dreams of being a teller one day.
He's taken in by a bad element--or should I say lured in by a pretty girl. Before he realizes he's in over his head and is manipulated into helping rob the bank he works for. Levitt was fantastic--I'm surprised he's never really crossed over into Leonardo leading man territory yet.
He's quickly becoming the name version of Parker Posey as the indie-King.
