Review of The Lookout (2007) by Cody F — 31 May 2010
Forgettable Heist film with, get ready for it, a twist! It's a decent setup with Levitt as a ex-hockey player who gets in a car accident and can no longer remember how to perform the easiest of task (lock doors, make food, etc).
Matthew Goode is a loser that decides to use JGL as his lookout to rob a bank he works at. The movie is nothing too original, with the exception of one scene involving a cop, and the acting is a little over the top, especially from Goode and Jeff Daniels.
The only thing I came away from this film with was the fact that I really like Levitt as a actor. He has a good look, great demeanor, and when he is onscreen he grabs your full attention. This film had some potential and it wasn't even close to being the worst Heist Film I have ever seen, but don't think I would ever watch it again.
