Review of The Lookout (2007) by Leo S — 19 Dec 2010
Bridges is really good and Goode nicely charismatic up until about the third act when he becomes more of a standard bad guy and his accent starts slipping. Similarly, the writing is excellent but loses some momentum and mystery after the plan is revealed.
Characters are nicely fleshed out and time is taken on small details, which is always nice. Unfortunately the direction is pretty clunky, very TV-movie, with a very poorly executed action scene and not a great amount of tension.
But, I still enjoyed it, the good bits aren't in short supply, so I'm not gonna whine too much.
