Review of The Lookout (2007) by Tre Bluey O — 23 Sep 2012
"A very good, well-made psychological crime thriller with top-notch performances for it's solid cast and great direction from Scott Frank. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is once again great here as Chris Pratt, who suffered some memory loss after a car accident and now is janitor who gets caught up with a group of bank robbers led by Gary Spargo (A brilliant Matthew Goode) and gets forced to join them to rob a bank where Chris actually works at. Aforementioned Matthew Goode is fantastic here as the villain, this is the best i've seen him in especially his last three scenes of the movie. The usually funny and beautiful comedic Isla Fisher is in serious form here playing as Luvlee Lemons who used to be a stripper now, a con artist. She's terrific here in her small role. Carla Gugino has a cameo here but a decent one. Sergio Di Zio is lovable as the Deputy. Jeff Daniels steals every scene as Lewis who's Chris (Gordon-Levitt) best friend who's blind.".
"Great flick, last 30 minutes are pure excellence and just well-acted with James Newton Howard's great score in the background. Definitely worth recommending to those who want to see a good, solid crime thriller with wonderful performances all-around.".
