Review of The Lookout (2007) by Jake H — 05 Oct 2013
Gordon-Levitt has been making some daring career choices lately and they keep paying off. The Lookout is a well-crafted heist movie with a twist, adding a bit of life into a genre that can quickly become stale.
The supporting cast is uniformly solid. Narrative and pacing are well-executed, and this film would rate even higher if not for a disappointing finale. Still, this is a great indie caper movie that far outshines many of its larger-budget competitors.
