I keep giving him chances but I just don't 'get' Michael Winterbottom. The Look of Love is no exception. I felt quite out of step with the majority of the film. Coogan's performance is so downplayed it verged on the dull.
It's not a bad film. I can see it's well made, it just didn't do it for me.
