When this movie came out to hit the screen I was there. Just to see all of the famous names in the 3-hour-long 1962 war film with the very large cast, based on the 1959 history The Longest Day, about "D-Day", the invasion of Normandy on 6 June 1944, during World War II .
.. a tribute to the war-movies.
