Review of The Longest Day (1962) by Will C — 08 Aug 2007
I just saw a 35mm print of this at the Arclight and it blew me away. Absolutely the best war film I've ever seen. It may not have the shaky-cam intensity of Band of Brothers or SPR, but the tons of incredible set-pieces and the breathtaking cinematography throughout put this one over the top in my book.
