Review of The Longest Day (1962) by Grant S — 24 May 2014
It might be propaganda and might not be the most realistic but this and was remains a great WW2 movie. The moment the Frenchman meets the British on the beach with champagne has to be a glorious moment.
Even though it was meant as comic relief the true expression of joy hat the French must have at liberation was caught in that moment. Very emotional.
