A huge epic of a movie. Try to watch it in the english/german version as it just adds to the atmosphere of the film.
Centred around the Normandy landings in June 1944, it features the events from both sides of the English Channel in the hours before and after the invasion.
Compelling viewing for all war movie moguls.
