The movie that was notorious for being made while CLEOPATRA was on holiday. ANd boy, is it the movie. It is a deeply-detailed look at the events of D-Day, so-called "the longest day" (hence the title).
The cast is an international all-star lineup, with Sean Connery even as a two-line soldier. The movie is incredible, with wonderful visuals, great effects, and an intelligent story and script that foreshadows the likes of "United 93".
