Considering this film is 60 years old, it is an amazing reinactment of what I have come to understand the build up and action of the Normandy Invasion was like. Not since this film has there been one to match. It tells the story of the events of D-Day not only form the Allied perspective but the Germans as well.
A masterpiece that concentrates on the combined efforts of every nation not just the yanks.
Look out for a very early apperance by Sean Connery.
