Review of The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996) by Jon C — 14 Mar 2013
Fun, action-packed and rather funny.
Geena Davis is a great action heroine and makes a powerful lead other than the typical male lead.
She's a mom and happily married at home until memories from her past start to resurface.
She's a hired government assassin but old enemies from her life are out to get her and scare the country into fear and destruction involving millions of dollars.
The action-comedy aspect is cooler and funnier than you'd think, the stunts are insane and the actors are good at what they do.
The job of leading a double-life while juggling being a mother is a great set of a challenge for Samantha.
And Sam Jackson is great at what he always does best yet he's still a family man in the dirt.
This is a really good movie and a big turnaround for the typical-action-movie tropes we see now.
