Review of The Long Goodbye (1973) by Kieran T — 21 Apr 2009
Solid, but not harsh enough or dark enough with its comedy for todays standards. There are still some very funny moments and I liked Gould, but no doubt The Big Sleep is a better film. This also moves very slowly in the 2nd half as the mystery is lost and seemingly pushed aside, whereas it builds in The Big Sleep.
