Review of The Long Goodbye (1973) by Joel K — 02 Jun 2010
The near constant panning of the camera is a nice touch. The scene of Marlowe on the beach in the reflection on the window while Hayden and Pallandt talk things over inside is wow. Neo-noir. Hayden and Gould are excellent.
Marlowe gets more screen time with a ciggy in this movie than anyone ever I suspect.
