Review of The Long Good Friday (1980) by Joel W — 01 Jun 2007
Entertaining British gangster film from 1980 about the fall of a mobster's empire. While it was hard to understand the thick cockney accents at times, I think it was a much better film overall than some of the more recent cockney gangster films like Lock, Stock.
.. and others. Bob Hoskins is intense as Harold the kingpin and it did the fall of the empire better than Godfather did, I think.
