Review of The Long Good Friday (1980) by Richard W — 03 Mar 2008
Good, solid movie with its own, completely unique tone.
From time to time, the movie suffers from feeling dated, and it does have a strange pace to it, but the performances more than make up for its "shortcomings" - especially Hoskins' powerful, commanding presence.
The Long Good Friday deserves to find an even larger audience than it has.
