Review of The Long Good Friday (1980) by Zach M — 31 Jul 2011
This is by far the best British gangster movie I have seen to date.
It is smart and very well written.
The characters are all very interesting and the casting was perfect.
I would never have thought Helen Mirren would play the kind of character she did in this movie.
Bob Hoskins was excellent as the 'Buisnessman' trying to sort stuff out.
The story keeps you interested in everything that's going on and keeps you guessing as to what will happen next.
The ending was perfect as well.
A definite must see.
