Gorgeous, weird, interesting, and tediously slow at times, The Loneliest Planet is a mixed bag that had a great idea at its core, but didn't play with it enough to really take advantage of it. I was completely blown away by the plot twist, but then that energy just disappeared.
While the film has lots to love about it, the failure of the writing and story to engage me really left me wanting more. But I'm glad I saw this movie attempt to unravel bigger questions.
