Review of The Lone Ranger (1956) by Shawn M — 01 May 2014
Lone Ranger is dull. This disney style formula as done by Pirates of the Caribbean is too overused to make this interesting. The story is too long winded for its younger target audience and overall is disinteresting.
Humour is hard to come by in this film however it does boast a fairly good western crook in Butch Cavendish. Armie Hammers character become increasing annoying and Johnny Depp with all his talent brought nothing new to the film.
Lone Ranger did have a couple of action sequences on moving trains that were put together pretty well. If you manage to sit through the whole 2 and a half hours, the end surprisingly does pick up the momentum of this painfully boring movie.
But Lone Ranger still is a flop.
