Review of The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog (1927) by Ian S — 17 Jun 2007
I just wasn't very impressed with this one. Hitchcock hadn't yet learned how to bring the suspense and crafted story-telling. Marie Ault is pretty obnoxous and the twist is predictable. It's interesting only in the context of being based on the Ripper murders.
