Review of The Lobster (2015) by Ryan J — 24 Jun 2016
I have everything and nothing to say about The Lobster. After breaking the plot of the film down with three separate people I've come to the conclusion that I definitely appreciated The Lobster. Interesting ideas and manages to handle a lot of it's darkness with very black humor.
I can't say that I have any desire to watch it again, at least not immediately. You're left with plenty of food for thought , enough that I'd consider it a great film. Keep an open mind. If you don't pick up on it's off-neatness soon into the start then you'll probably hate it.
Not an easy movie, but I don't think it's a particularly disturbing one either if you have a fondness for black humor and satire.
