Review of The Living Daylights (1987) by Mark F — 08 Mar 2015
I get that they were trying to make Bond more believable and gritty here, to stand in contrast to Roger Moore's tired latter outings, and in much the same way Daniel Craig reinvigorated Bond after the comical Brosnan era, but The Living Daylights doesn't really work for me.
The story just isn't compelling enough, there isn't much action and nothing is very memorable. It seems to divide opinion though, some like it.
