One of the most epic and expensive Bond films. Unlike some fans, I didn't mind Dalton's seriousness (we needed it after Roger). The script is solid, the premise realistic and the ending is totally epic.
(It's also refreshing to see the Afghanistan people be the heroes at the end of a Hollywood blockbuster. At one point Bond says, "With any luck, we'll make it to Pakistan." How often has he said that?) This nearly flawless 007 movie also has one of the cutest Bond girls - the Czechoslovakian cello player is adorable.
Its strong narrative is reminiscent of From Russia with Love and The Spy Who Loved Me.
