Review of The Little Prince (2015) by Jerome K — 13 Mar 2016

I'm not familiar with the story of The Little Prince, and I think that came to the detriment of my enjoyment of this film. I enjoyed the framing narrative with the Little Girl and the elderly Aviator, as it was more fleshed out, but in the final act where we jump into the world of TLP, I felt a little disconnected.

We only get glimpses of the story and various characters from TLP so they didn't leave much of an impression on me. On the plus side, the animation is great, especially the stop-motion. I can tell the people working on it had a lot of passion, but ultimately, I feel like it will only resonate with people who already have a special place in their heart for TLP.
