Review of The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning (2008) by Jenna R — 23 Sep 2008
This prequel was actually quite good! I'm really suprised by the fact how much work they had done for the film. I don't believe that King Triton would have ever abandoned music in his kingdom, but this plot worked quite well actually.
Most of all I liked about the animation; Ariel looked amazing, her body movement and hair were stunning! Triton's animation was a bit disappointment to me, but others looked really good. But why the hell did this prequel include so much make-up, hair-dos and clothing issues? This is for kids and kids doesn't have to think about those subjects at the age of seven! They'll have all the time in the world worry about "what will I wear" or "what color should I paint my nails".
This was really irritaiting in the film.
