Let's get this out of the way, many disagreed with Ariel's casting and to some extent, I was perplexed as well. However, when the film starts and Halle started to sing, you know for sure why Disney cast her as Ariel, controversy aside.
Her and the rest of the cast is stellar and it made this flick one of Disney's better remakes.
