The Little Mermaid is probably one of the warmest and most confectious of animated films ever made. The music by Alan Menken is to die for throughtout, and makes the story jump out at you to the point that you want to swim in the ocean with the characters (No 3-D glasses required!).
"Under the Sea" is arguably the best Disney song ever performed and makes one wonder why Little Mermaid wasn't on Broadway long before 2008. The colors of the most climactic scenes in the film show off the 80's retro theme which is suprisingly undated.
It is overall a stunning piece of work and an undying classic.
