I've never liked the idea behind this story. The fact that she falls in love with Eric instantly and pretty much sells her soul to be with this man she knows nothing about really just angers me rather than charm me.
Overlooking that, it really is a beautiful film. It's drawn beautifully, the characters are great, the songs are great, the designs are great, it's all great. The only thing keeping it from perfection is the story.
