I'd be lying if I said I haven't pretended to be Ariel at the beach. Heck, I think I even swam out to a rock once for that reason only.
The Part of Your World Reprise shot is gorgeous. And this film has one of the most heartbreaking portrayals of crying that I've ever seen (when Ariel sits defeated on the dock).
Some people complain about Ariel giving up her voice, but the film makes it clear that this wasn't a good decision and Ariel learns from this mistake.
Jodi Benson's voice is a dream.
And I love that Ariel and Eric BOTH save each other throughout the film!
