In yet another memorable Walt Disney produced fable, The Little Mermaid is based on the famous Andersen fable of a mermaid, daughter of the lord of the sea kingdom, falls in love with a human prince. Genuinely gripping from start to finish, with an impressive use of darker elements to add a sinister depth to this tale of romance and adventure, and the usual memorable songs and likeable characters make it entertaining, though almost too well structured.
