The Lion King.

The movie that I am reviewing is the Lion King. The Lion King is about a young cub named Simba. He runs away after his father's death. Timon and Pumbba find him in the desert and begin take care of him. He returns after a friend comes and finds him in the jungle and tells him to come back.

Simba is a witty, mischievous cub who takes off after his father's death at the command of his Uncle Scar. Timon, a meerkat and Pumbaa, a warthog, find him lying in a desert and decide to take him in. They teach him their ways, such as "akuna matata." When his childhood sweetheart finds him in the jungle she convinces him to come back and take over "Pride Rock," his home. At first he refuses, but after Rafiki, a crazy monkey, lectures him he decides it would be best for him to go back. Once there he and his Uncle Scar have a little skirmish, and of course, the "hero" of the movie wins and all is good and well.

Simba is main character of the movie. Mufasa is Simba's father and at the beginning of the movie, dies. Surabi is Simba's mother and is just one of the background characters. Nala is his childhood sweetheart, and is the first one to find out he is alive and well. Zazu is basically his guidance counselor and tries his best to keep him away from trouble and danger. Rafiki is the crazy, psychic monkey with a staff. Scar is Simba's uncle and is the evil one in the movie and takes over Pride Rock. The hyenas are basically scars minions.

The main setting of The Lion King is obviously Africa. In the beginning they are at Pride Rock, then Simba and Nala travel to the elephant grave yard and get chased by the hyenas. Simba is found in the desert then lives on the jungle with Timon and Pumbaa.

The Lion King is one of my favorite movies of all time. I actually love all Disney movies. The Lion King is witty, happy, a little sad, and many other emotions. I give the Lion King a perfect score of 5/5.
