Review of The Lion in Winter (1968) by Ben Y — 05 Aug 2007
The closest any writer in the 20th century got to emulating William Shakespeare's storytelling.
Yes, Anthony Hopkins and Timothy Dalton are in it, but the real stars that will amaze you are Peter O'Toole and Katharine Hepburn. It's a true crime that O'Toole never won an Oscar for playing Henry II in Becket and this film.
