Review of The Lincoln Lawyer (2011) by Aerthos — 22 Mar 2011
Don't go see "The Lincoln Lawyer" expecting something new and different in terms of a courtroom drama/thriller. The plot follows the fairly standard formula across the three acts, but the experience remains enjoyable because not all of the turns in the plot are predictable and the cast is filled with a variety of characters.
A big kudos on this film go to the director/cinematographer/screenwriter who chose the multitude of shots focused on the main character's eyes--a powerful and quick method of giving the viewer an instant indication of his emotional state at various points in the film, and one that certainly helps his character seem more real.
